Global Agenda Division
January 20th, 2010
Heimdall Surtr
The Champions of Mandalore are proud to announce that we will be launching, as a clan, into our first MMO in less than two weeks. Global Agenda is a unique MMO game that combines key elements of both RPG and FPS gameplay. The game is $45 on Steam and has an optional $15 a month fee for Alliance vs. Alliance (large scale) PvP. Players can still participate in PvE and smaller scale PvP without paying a subscription.
More information about the game can be found here.
Final Two Classes Announced
December 8th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
BioWare has recently annouced the final two classes in Star Wars: The Old Republic; the Jedi Consular and the Sith Inquisitor. When paired with the Jedi Knight and the Sith Warrior, this gives factions two different force-sensitive classes. While the Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior rely heavily on their skill with a lightsaber, the Consular and Inquisitor rely heavily on using the force in combat.
While the annoucement of these two classes does give us a clearer picture of each faction, we will still wait until beta to make a final decision in regards to our factional alignment.
Website Changes
November 6th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
As many of you have probably noticed, the website's music has been changed to a score from Gears of War 2. In addition to this change, the rosters have been fully updated to reflect the addition of new recruits and the recent promotions of verd'ika. The profiles of members ranked Mando'ad and higher are also going to be added over the course of the next week for those that do not have them on the website yet.
Jedi Knight Class Revealed
November 5th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
BioWare has annouced the fifth official class for Star Wars: The Old Republic, the Jedi Knight! Here is a brief description of the class:
For thousands of years the Knights of the Jedi Order have been the guardians of peace and justice in The Old Republic. Through disciplined training and meditation, the Jedi Knights achieve perfect union of body and mind, allowing them to meet any situation with focused, fearless attention. Strengthened by the Force, they are able to turn this training into brilliant displays of lightsaber combat inspiring allies and disheartening those who would see the Republic fall.
On an unrelated note, BioWare has just released it's newest masterpiece, Dragon Age: Origins. The game has recieved almost universal praise by game critics, and some are already dubbing it "RPG of the decade." If you enjoyed Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic or Mass Effect, I would highly reccomend checking this game out.
SWTOR Beta and Aion
Octobeber 4th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
BioWare announced this week that the first round of testing for Star Wars: The Old Republic will begin soon. You can sign up to become a beta tester at the official SWTOR website. All members are highly encouraged to sign up to be testers, not only to gain in game experience, but to make this game as good as it can possibly be.
In other news, the official Aion chapter of the Champions of Mandalore began last week. For those of you that don't know, Aion is a MMORPG developed by NC Soft, the makers of Guild Wars. Unlike Guild Wars, it offers a full MMO experience. We currently have a few members active in the division and encourage anyone who wants to join us to do so. We are on the Elyos side of the Israphel server.
New Media Added
September 23rd, 2009
Heimall Surtr
A few new media items have been added to the website. First, an excellent promotional video was made by our very own Mur'ott Gilamar. I encourage you to all check it out if you haven't already. It can be found in "Videos" under the media tab.
In addition to Gilamar's excellent video, two new wallpapers by Darim Valen and former member Laam'inui have been added to the site.
Sindorin and Triso To Be Banned
September 16th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
In the past few days, Vorix Felange and Kelso Ordo, formerly known as Sindorin and Triso Telex in their time with our clan, have made many attempts to harm and annoy our clan. Both are guilty of trying to recruit high ranking members of the clan to join their new guild named "Mandaloria." Some of these attempts were very subtle, but others were very blatant. The attempted recruitment of these members continued even after they had said they were not interested, at which time Vorix and Kelso attempted to spread propaganda and lies to convince members to leave the Champions of Mandalore. In addition, Vorix has started numerous fights on our forums and insulted many of our vode personally in the process.
This onslaught of hostile behavior is "justified" by Vorix because of the lines in our State of the Clan address from September 8th that read, "It is our goal to have a dedicated group of players to go into Star Wars: The Old Republic with. It is hard to believe that these members are dedicated to our cause when they are leaving to pursue another," despite the fact that the next lines read "Let me make myself clear – these members who have left shouldn’t be treated as traitors or dar’manda. They have left to pursue their own goals, even if they may be different then our own." Such behavior, especially without provocation, will not be tolerated on our website our forums.
The clan made a decision together on what was to be done about the situation. Of the 23 members that voted, 100% of the members voted in favor of Vorix (Sindorin) being banned and 83% voted in favor of Kelso (Triso) being banned. With that said, both individuals have been permanently banned from our forums. Anyone who is interested in viewing evidence that supports our banning can do so here.
New Champion and Other News
September 15th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
With the departure of Sindorin, Deowyn Stryker has been named Champion. The former Kom'rk be Kot squadron has been reformed into Mirdala Bes'kad. In response to this new promotion, Jak Covell has been transferred from Mirdala Bes'kad to Darasuum Cabur to fill the vacant Alor'ad spot left by Champion Stryker, and Tracyn Kurs has been promoted to Alor'ad in the Mirdala Bes'kad squad. Gale Skreev'kyr has also been granted the rank of Ver'alor.
The clan has also made a firm decision to remain neutral until all information has been released about the game. Our final decision on our factional alignment will occur in the few days leading up to the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic after we have had the chance to play the beta version of the game. When the time has come our clan will make a decision together on our faction alignment.
In addition to the aforementioned news, the website and roster has been updated to reflected the recent changes.

Heimdall Surtr
After a few weeks of downtime, the forums are now back online. I would like to thank everyone who donated to the clan to make this possible. Good work, ner'vode.
Mission Accomplished
August 10th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
I am proud to annouce that we have reached our goal and far exceeded it - as of now, we have raised $380. I would like to sincerely thank Shi Akaan, Sindorin, Yogamet, Kom'rk Tahii, Theros Bralor, Timutu Aruetii, Deowyn Stryker, and A'den Kyramur for their donations. The vBulletin license will be purchased once A'den's very generous donation is confirmed by PayPal. The forums should be up tomorrow.
Due to the surplus of funds we now have, it is likely that the website, forum server, and domains can be paid off for the rest of the year. However, there is still much that we can do with added funds, so members are still encouraged to donate whenever they see fit. All guild funds will be kept in the Champions of Mandalore PayPal seperate from anyones personal finances. Also, a spreadsheet detailing all donations and purchases the guild has made, along with a current clan balance, will be made available on the forums for members to view.
Also, the clan would like to congratulate Aeridas on her recent marriage.
Again, it's great to see the clan come together in such a way in time of adversity. Great work, ner'vode!
Forum Status Update
August 9th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
We have currently raised $205 of the $230, meaning that we need to raise $25 more in order to get our forums back. I woud like to thank Shi Akaan, Sindorin, Yogamet, Kom'rk, Theros, Timutu, Deowyn Stryker and A'den for their donations.

Heimdall Surtr
The Champions of Mandalore PayPal account is now up and working properly. We have already raised $80 of the $230 we need to get our forums back in working coniditon. All members are encouraged to donate, but are not required. You may donate here, or click "donate" under the Community tab.
Temporary Forums
July 30th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
Triso Telex has been nice enough to set up some temporary forums for us to use while we're raising funds to get our vBulletin back online. You can visit these forums here.
Also many members have been asking what will happen to the 18,000 posts that were on our vBulletin once we reactivate it. I talked to the people at SiteGround and they confirmed that the forums will be fully restored once we activate the site and that we will not lose any data whatsoever.
Forums Down Indefinitely
July 27th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
As many of you have no doubt noticed, it is a sad day for our clan. Someone took it upon them to report our site to vBulletin, claiming that we were using an illegal copy of their vBulletin software. Jelsoft, the company who owns vBulletin, investigated and contacted the forum host, who in turn suspended the forums. The forums were bought by the long-missing Janssen Dalt, but the registration was not updated when the forum servers were changed back in October.
Becuase of the foolish and petty actions of one unknown soul, our forums will be down indefinitely. Our host will turn our server back on, but only if we purchase a vBulletin license. Once we purchase the license and have the server turned back on, then the forums will go back to normal. If you are interested in helping raise the $180 then please a Champion or myself.
With the forums down, there is also no where for potential recruits to post their applications. If you are interested in joining the clan then please contact me at HeimdallSurtr on XFire or post a reply in our recruiting thread on the SWTOR.com forums.
Day of Defeat: Source Server Coming Soon
July 13th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
The clan has spoken, and it is clear that the game that the clan as a whole is most interested in playing right now is Day of Defeat: Source. We will be launching our own Day of Defeat: Source server sometime this week. The server will be hosted by GameServers.com.
Financing the server will be a clan-wide effort. To encourage members to help finance the server, members who have been in the clan longer than three months who donate $10 or more will recieve a month of admin status on the server per $10 donated. For instance, if a member donates $30 then they will recieve 3-months of admin status on the Day of Defeat: Source server.
Keep in mind that the Day of Defeat: Source server is not the only thing that needs financing - I can bare more than my fair share of the clan's financial burden, but the website and forums also require financing. Please check with me before making donation, as some things may be in greater need of financing than others. Eligible members who donate $10 towards the website/forums will recieve the same admin rights on the Day of Defeat: Source server as those who donate directly towards the server.
Instructions on how to donate can be found in the Day of Defeat: Source division subforum.
Age Limit Lowered
June 24th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
The Champions and myself have decided to lower the age limit from 16 years old to 15 years old. However, there will be no exceptions granted for those under the age limit in the future. Please note that this policy is not retroactive, so any current members who are under 15 will be allowed to stay and keep their current rank.
In other news, the Battle of Concord Dawn is set to begin soon. Any members who wish to participate in the battle should make their RP entrance into the thread. If you are unsure of how to make an entrance in the thread then please contact your squad leader. If you are not a member of a squad then you may contact me about it.
New Communication Medium
June 12th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
Due to widespread support, XFire will now be the official instant messaging program of the Champions of Mandalore. Many members still use MSN Messenger, but all offical guild events, including weekly meetings, will be conducted using XFire. You can download the client here.
Guild of the Month
April 15th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
Congratulations vode, we have been named SWTOR-Base's Guild of the Month for April. You can check out the interview with Rynech, Sindorin, and myself here. I would like to thank all of you for your dedication to this clan, without you all none of this would have been possible.
In other news, member purges and squad reassignments are complete. You can view them under the members tab. We purged approximately 25 inactive members, which brings our active member count to exactly 40. Tajos tal has also returned to active duty, assuming his role as Champion once more.
Member Purges
March 22nd, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
The first round of member purges will take place this week. All members who are currently A.W.O.L. will be removed from the clan on Monday. In addition, any members who have not been heard from for the past two weeks will be placed on the A.W.O.L. list and then be removed from the clan entirely if they have not been heard from after two additional weeks. Any members that are removed during this process will be allowed to return, but may face a demotion.
In other news, the Champions of Mandalore was voted as the best Mandalorian Clan by the community, along with Beskar. I would like to thank all of you who voted for us.
Champion Tajos Tal has decided to step down as Champion because of real life obligations. He will still remain a member of the clan, but will not be serving in the same capacity. There are no plans to elect a new Champion at this time.
A New Champion, and an Old Friend
February 9th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
Champion Norko Vonus has returned from his venture into forming The Union of the Brave. He has returned to us, along with Lornadus Toldan, and will serve again as Champion. I think I speak for all of us when I say that we are very happy to have two of our vode back again.
With Champion Vonus returning to us once again, it has become nessecary to elect another Champion and form another squad to go along with this appointment. This appointment will be annouced tonight at the meeting at 11:59 PM, but I am sure most of you can already guess who will be appointed. I am sure he will do a great job as a Champion.
Farewell, Champion
January 24th, 2009
Heimdall Surtr
As Mandalore, I would like to extend my best wishes to our vod and former Champion Norko Vonus. He has left along with Nyth Tachi and Vane Dor to pursue his own clan. I believe I speak for all of my vode when I wish you the best of luck, Norko. If you ever need help, then know the Champions of Mandalore are here.
On a similar note, Champion Talron Darklen has decided to step down as Champion until the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic. However, Talron will remain an active member of the clan and will become a part of the Silent Death squadron. The loss of former Champion Vonus and the stepping down of Talron will result in the disbandment of the Ne'tra Striil and Secondary Protocol squadrons. Members of these squadrons will recieve their new assignments at Monday night's meeting.
As most of you have learned by now, Jasterk Staren has been exiled from the clan. His behavior at clan meetings and other events was not what I, as Mandalore, and the Champions believe to be a good representation of our clan. Full details of his exile are available in the barracks.
Two New Champions
December 22nd, 2008
Heimdall Surtr
I would like to congratulate Norko Vonus and Rynech Viatl on their appointments to Champion. I am sure that they will do well in the future and do great things for this clan, as they have already both contributed much to the clan.
In addition, Triso Telex has been promoted to Marauder and Virik Zalak, Torric Alakaar, and Tajos Tal have passed their trial and have been granted the rank of Mando'an. As many of you may also know, Champion Daxter Juno has taken a indefinite leave of absence due to personal reasons. We all will be eager for the date that he will march along us once again. His replacement as Champion will be annouced this week.
Left 4 Dead
November 21st, 2008
Heimdall Surtr
A lot of us have been looking for a game to play as a clan until the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic. A few of us have picked up Left 4 Dead on the XBOX 360 and have been playing online. I suggest anyone that has a XBOX 360 and can afford another game pick it up. The game helps develop team work which will be very useful once SW: TOR launches.
Profiles Needed
November 4th, 2008
Heimdall Surtr
This is a reminder to all current members. We are trying to finish up the site, and we are needing to get everyones profile set up on the website. Please register on the forums and post your profile in the approprite section in the "The Barracks" section. The template for your profile can also be found on the "Profile Information" thread in the aforementioned section.
Forums Operational and SWG EMU
October 24th, 2008
Heimdall Surtr
As most of you know, the forums were set up two nights ago. I would like to thank Janssen for all the help he was in setting up the forums. If you are a fellow member of the clan, then please go register on the forums as soon as you get the chance. If you are not a member, then you are invited to join our community to get to know us better. I have also added a shoutbox to the left, so feel free to use that if you have any suggestions/comments.
In addition, I would encourage all members to load up their old copies of Star Wars Galaxies and download the SWG Emulator launch pad from www.launchpad.thewildclan.com . SWG EMU is an emulator of SWG from the old, pre-combat upgrade era. This should be a fun way to pass time in waiting for The Old Republic. This is not required.
Star Wars: The Old Republic Announced!
October 21st, 2008
Heimdall Surtr
As suspected by many, the collaboration between LucasArts and BioWare is infact Star Wars: The Old Republic. Details on the game are somewhat scarace at this point, and the developers seemed to dodge a lot of questions. However, what we do know is this:
The game will be story driven. The game will be absolutely huge. They estimate it will be larger than all Bioware games put together. That says a lot considering that BioWare has created games such as KOTOR 1, Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2, Jade Empire, Baldur's Gate, and Mass Effect. The two factions within the game will be the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire.Players must pick a side during character creation.Your actions will have consequences in regards to future gameplay options. For instance, quests may not be available in the future based on your actions. The graphics are cartoonish, but not to the extent of other MMO's such as World of Warcraft. They are designed to look very good on high end PC's while still running on a wide range of PC's.That is all that we know for now. Please check www.swtor.com for future updates.
LucasArts/BioWare Annoucement Coming Soon
October 20th, 2008
Heimdall Surtr
Greetings Fellow Mandalorians,
An exciting day approaches. Tomorrow we will learn what is in store for our future, as LucasArts and BioWare annouce the nature of there "ground-breaking interactive entertainment product." The expected annoucement is expected by many, including us, to be none other than Star Wars: The Old Republic.
The annoucment is to take place in San Fransisco, California at LucasArts' studio at 2pm PST. Many members of the gaming press have been invited to view the unveiling of the much-anticipated game, including MMO specific websites such as massively.com. People from around the world have been invited to witness the unveiling of the game, leading to speculation that this will be far more than a mere title announcement. More information will be available here as soon as possible.
